With the aim of developing new tools for addressing important social issues through working with young people, the Youth Dialogue Programme implemented its perhaps most creative training to date: “EduGaming”, training for designing educational games.

“EduGaming” training course was developed based on the premise that educational games (used in youth work, communities, workshops, trainings, etc.), which are approaching urgent issues related to social exclusion, poverty and global challenges are making a very big contribution to inclusion of young people, raising awareness and engaging diverse target groups.

The project was focused on developing specific competencies in educational games design for youth workers, facilitators, trainers, on topics related to social exclusion and global challenges.

  • explored different social thematic;
  • gained understanding of the steps required for developing successful educational games (that could be used in youth projects, communities or training/workshops, schools); and
  • developed concrete games which were implemented, tested and evaluated during the training itself and later on disseminated and promoted among other youth organizations.

The project was developed as mutual effort of 12 different organisations from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, France, Italy, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Portugal, Romania Serbia and the UK, with a total number of 23 participants as direct beneficiaries in the project. Training course took place in from 8th to 17th of March in Sremski Karlovci, Serbia and was supported by the Youth in Action programme of the European Commission.
